Writing a formal letter
You are a member of a community group that keeps your local area clean and safe. You have received the following message from another member.
One of my friends in another town, Will, said he saw a brilliant presentation the other day from a crime prevention officer called Alissa Trent.
Apparently, she goes around community groups like ours and advises them how to discourage people from dropping litter. My friend Will says Ms Trent had loads of great ideas and inspired the members of his community group.
I don't suppose you could write to her, could you, and invite her to come and give a talk for our group? Ideally, she'd come to us on a Saturday morning - but perhaps she only works on weekdays, which would also be OK, guess.
Also, I have no idea if she charges a fee to give talks - could you find out?
