Suma unghiurilor este:
x + y + z = 90°
Complementarele unghiurilor sunt:
90° - x; 90° - y; 90° - y;
Suma complementarelor este:
(90° - x) + (90° - y) + (90° - z) =
= 90° - x + 90° - y + 90° - z =
= 90° + 90° + 90° - x - y - z =
= 90° + 90° + 90° - (x + y + z) = (dar x + y + z = 90°)
= 90° + 90° + 90° - 90° = (unde 90° - 90° = 0°)
= 90° + 90° + 0° = 180°
⇒ Suma complementarelor este 180° adica un unghi alungit.
