Yesterday, I was reading my e-mails when I found the following message from a friend of mine: "I have always been superstitious and I was horrified to find a chain e-mail in my post this morning. For fear of breaking the chain and bringing bad luck, I've sent you a copy. Sorry to bother you." In my opinion, the stupidy of chain letters has been equalled only by their cruelty. I think they are actually blackmail letters, threatening all kinds of disaster if the naive recipient does not pass them on. But I don't belive in such things and I will destroy this letter just like the other chain letters I have revceived every month.
