My grandparents’ cellar is made of stone and extends under the summer house. There
is a small room in the cellar with fruits and vegetables. This is the result of my grandpa’s
work. On the wooden shelves stand the results of granny’s summer work. Every kind of
pickle and jam with preserved cherries, peaches and pears from their own garden stand in
shining jars. Great glass jars and small barrels hold cucumbers and tomatoes, water melons
and cabbage. Villagers are very proud of their cellars and keep them in good condition.
